FluteTree Foundation, Inc. is incorporated in Texas and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the EID of #99-0383791.

Mission Statement

FluteTree Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the skills and heart of the Native American Flute, from past to present.

Strategic Goals

We asked the flute community what they wanted. Based on the answers to our survey, we set the following Strategic Goals as our areas of focus:

• Develop strong working relationships with flute circles and the flute community at large.
• Recruit new, younger flute players into the flute community.
• Communicate regularly with the flute community about what we have to offer, our accomplishments and successes.
• Provide the FluteTree.org website as a means to delivering content that supports our community and mission.
• Through donations and grants, raise funds required to support the FluteTree Foundation in achieving its strategic goals.

Sponsored Projects and Accomplishments

Ancient Rhythms teaches under-served grade school students in East Tennessee about Native American culture and history by learning to play the flute.

FluteTree Website provides educational and historic teaching materials, curates an extensive list of links to related web resources, and maintains a popular online flute songbook that supports Nakai Tablature and flute finger pictures.

The Gathering is a national conference that combines educational workshops and public performances.
