W:
W:1) Let all mortal flesh keep silence, and with fear and trembling stand;
W:ponder nothing earthly minded, for with blessings in his hand.
W:Christ our God to earth descendedth, our full homage to demand.
W:
W:2) Kings of kings, yet born of Mary, as of old on earth be stood,
W:Lord of lords, in human vesture, in the body and the blood,
W:he will give to all the faithful his own self for heav'nly food.
W:
W:3) Rank on rang the host of heaven spreads its vanguard on the way,
W:as the Light of light descendeth from the realms of endless day,
W:that the powers of hell may vanish as the darkness clears away.
W:
W:4) At his feet the six-winged seraph; cherubim, with sleepless eye,
W:veil their faces to the prescence, as with ceaseless voice they cry,
W:"Al-le-lu-ia, al-le-lu-ia, al-le-lu-ia, Lord Most Hight!"
